Adaptive Equipment Technician has extensive acquired technical experience in the fields of seating, mobility and adaptive technology. The Adaptive Equipment Technician fills a vital role in Seating and Mobility and Augmentative Communication, complementing the work of clinicians on those teams.

Audiologists are registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). The College sets requirements to enter the profession, establishes and enforces standards of practice, and assures the quality of practice of the profession and the continuing competence of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists are accountable for practising in accordance with the standards of practice of audiology and speech-language pathology and professional behaviour set by the College.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teachers hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology or an academic qualification that is considered equivalent to the diploma, such as a Developmental Services Worker (DSW). This provision is intended so the staff members have a theoretical knowledge of child development and program planning appropriate to the children with whom the teachers will directly work. Staffing and programming are regulated by the Day Nurseries Act, Ontario Child Care Licensing, Ministry of Community and Social Services/Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

 Early Learning Resource Teachers have completed an approved academic program such as the Early Childhood Education program and / or the post diplomia Early Childhood Education (ECE) Resource Teacher Program. They follow the standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Education Resource Teacher Network of Ontario (ECRTNO). The Early Learning Resource Teachers promote the inclusion of children with special needs into licensed community child care settings and licensed home day care settings.

Occupational Therapists are registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). The College sets requirements to enter the profession, establishes and enforces standards of practice, and assures the quality of practice of the profession and the continuing competence of Occupational Therapists. Occupational Therapists are accountable for practising in accordance with the standards of occupational therapy practice and professional behaviour set by the College.

Physiotherapists are registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO). The College sets requirements to enter the profession, establishes and enforces standards of practice, and assures the quality of practice of the profession and the continuing competence of physiotherapists. Physiotherapists are accountable for practising in accordance with the standards of physiotherapy practice and professional behaviour set by the College.

Special Services at Home Workers have experience with special needs children. Early Childhood Education Diploma, Child & Youth Care Worker, Social Service Worker Diploma is/are preferred.

Speech-Language Pathologists are registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). The College sets requirements to enter the profession, establishes and enforces standards of practice, and assures the quality of practice of the profession and the continuing competence of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists are accountable for practising in accordance with the standards of practice of audiology and speech-language pathology and professional behaviour set by the College.

Communicative Disorders Assistants have completed an approved program, such as the Communicative Disorders Assistant Program at Georgian College in Orillia. They are uniquely trained to work as a dynamic team with and under the supervision of Speech-Language Pathologists.

Social Workers are registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). The College sets requirements to enter the profession, establishes and enforces standards of practice, and assures the quality of practice of the profession and the continuing competence of social workers and social service workers. Social Workers are accountable for practising in accordance with the standards of social work practice and professional behaviour set by the College.

Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and Therapeutic Recreation Assistants have completed an approved academic program , such as the Therapeutic Recreation Post Diploma Program at Georgian College in Orillia. They follow the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as approved by Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO). These standards have been developed to assist Therapeutic Recreation Specialists to systematically plan, implement, evaluate and adapt their performance and delivery of services according to approved standards.
