Seating and Mobility

Seating refers to the supports that some persons may need to maintain a comfortable sitting position. Mobility refers to the ability to move around. Our clients may need assistance in either seating or mobility, or in both these areas in order to fulfil an active role in the community in which they live. The Seating and Mobility team includes: Service includes:
  • complete assessment by an Assistive Devices Program authorizer
  • goal-setting and recommendations
  • prescription of equipment to achieve seating and mobility goals
  • custom fitting of the prescribed equipment
  • follow-up as needs change over time custom
  • adaptation of other equipment client owns to meet specific needs
